December 2013 – Construction of the first integrated biorefinery for Jatropha processing

Agroils is pleased to announce the start-up of the works for the installation of the first integrated biorefinery for Jatropha processing at its facilities in Sesto Fiorentino, Florence. The processing line has a capacity of 8.000 tons of processed Jatropha seeds per year and it is based on Agroils’ proprietary process for the production of superior quality Jatropha oil, protein fractions and bioactives of pharmaceutical interest. The line will be used to show Jatropha stakeholders the full potential of Agroils’ technological platform as well as to serve as demo plant for the development of further innovations. The works for the assembly of the line and the commissioning are expected to be concluded in March 2014.
