May 2012 – Set-up of Jatropha pilot biorefinery in Dominican Republic

Agroils is pleased to announce it has completed the construction and commissioning of its pilot Jatropha biorefinery.

The processing line, with a capacity of approximately 2.000 tons of processed seeds per year, has been installed in the facilities of the company Biofuels Industry Dominicana Sarl (BIND), the largest Biodiesel producer in the Carribbean.

The outcomes of the processing line are represented by a superior quality Jatropha oil and a detoxified Jatropha cake. The line has been integrated with BIND’s biodiesel production line in Santo Domingo, DR.
